This eiffel base originated in the golden era of furniture design created by famous furniture pioneers Charles and Ray Eames. Its molded plastic seat is world renowned especially among design enthusiasts. Its high backrest and contoured seat perfectly cradles the body for exceptional ergonomic comfort. Its 4-legged base is reinforced with metal criss-cross wires and a round wrap-around footrest. This “eiffel” design gets its name from the legendary Eiffel Tower in Paris.
